Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, log, sell, or share any personal information, browsing history, or page content.

How the extension handles text

When you choose "Read this" or press the reading shortcut, the extension reads the text you selected on the current tab and passes it directly to your browser's built-in text-to-speech engine. The text is not stored and is not sent to any server operated by the developer.

If you select an online voice provided by your browser (for example, Google voices in Chrome or Microsoft Natural voices in Edge), your browser may send the text to that provider to generate audio. That processing is governed by the browser vendor's privacy policy.

Settings storage

Your voice, speed, and pitch preferences are saved with Chrome's sync storage, so they can sync between your own signed-in browsers. They contain no personal information.

Analytics and tracking

The extension contains no analytics, advertising, cookies, or third-party tracking code.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published with a new extension version and an updated date above.
